How do you drive from MBS to Kawkawlin?
Driving is a direct way to make the trip, but no specific airport-to-Kawkawlin road sequence is identified. Kawkawlin Township identifies I-75 and M-13 as major transportation arteries in the township; that does not establish which route you should take from the airport.
Set your destination in a navigation app before leaving the airport, and follow its current directions. If you are continuing to Bay City, keep that destination separate in your routing plan rather than assuming the same road sequence applies. For local transportation context, this guide to getting around Kawkawlin covers the area beyond the airport transfer.
Rental cars and other ground transport
MBS offers several ways to arrange ground transport, but availability and operating details can change. The airport names Alamo, Avis, Enterprise, Hertz, and National as rental-car operators. Their counters are inside the terminal next to baggage claim. MBS provides counter hours and operator phone numbers, so check the official site before you go.
Taxi service is another option. MBS names All Hours Taxi, Blaz’n Transportation, and Griffin Transit; advance reservations are advised for Blaz’n Transportation and Griffin Transit. Lyft and Uber are permitted to operate at MBS and may drop passengers at their requested airport location. Confirm your pickup or reservation arrangements with the provider before travelling.
The airport also provides free shuttles from several hotels in the region, including locations in Bay City and Saginaw. Some participating hotels ask guests to call for available times. Those shuttles are tied to the participating hotels, so check directly with the hotel if you are considering that option.
Allowing for arrival-day delays
Leave room in your plans for the time it takes to collect luggage and pick up a car or meet a driver. Rental counters are beside baggage claim, while taxi and rideshare arrangements depend on the service you choose. Confirm current counter hours and transport arrangements before your trip rather than relying on details that may have changed.
If you are flying out rather than arriving, MBS recommends checking in at least 90 minutes before departure and reaching the boarding-gate area 45 minutes before flight time. The airport has short- and long-term parking, a short walk from the passenger terminal.
